Joining Scouts BSA is a little more complicated than just filling out a form and submitting payment, but troop leadership is always here to help — just ask!
There are two steps that must be completed separately (the troop cannot register your scout with Scouts BSA National). The BSA will take a prorated credit card payment which will provide insurance for your scout on scouting outings, as while contributing to nationwide program development and behind-the-scenes support. Troop dues are applied towards the gear your scout will receive once registered and helps subsidize the out-of-pocket meals, transportation, and activity expenses for our adult volunteers and scouts on outings.
