Klondike Derby is a traditional scouting event where teams of scouts (patrols) compete in demonstrating their mastery of (outdoor winter) scouting skills.

Scouts and parents attending only the Derby competition will depart from Glencoe early Saturday morning and return Saturday evening.  There is an option to camp out Friday evening before if there are sufficient interested scouts and parents.  There is a minimum of 5 scouts to participate and a maximum of 9.  Scouts participating in the Klondike Derby are asked to come to Monday evening meetings in January to work on skills with fellow scouts, as they cannot ask adults for assistance in completing the competitive skills.  Priority will be given to scouts planning to camp or whose parent(s) are participating.

You can find more information in the NEIC event guidebook.  Troop 28 Trip Information Sheet coming soon!

Please review BSA's Pre-Event Medical (COVID) Screening Checklist prior to departure to ensure your scout is safe to participate.
