2022 Campout Leaders

Help chaperone upcoming campouts to Wisconsin River, Devil's Lake, and more: 2-3 parents needed to help supervise overnights and to drive. Trip dates through the end of 2022 have been selected to avoid conflicts with known holidays and community/scouting events, but trip leaders have the ability to put a “thumb on the scale” if there is an activity/trip for dates and departure/return times for they particularly want to lead. Please email the Scoutmaster for more information.

If you are interested in spending all or part of a week at week-long scout summer camp in Wisconsin, July 24-30, 2022;  please email the Scoutmaster for more information.

2022 Monday Evening Troop Meetings

Cover Monday evening troop meetings and PLC meetings (note: if your scout is not an elected or appointed youth leader/member of the PLC, you should volunteer for a regular troop meeting)

Organize/Coordinate Day Activities (As Needed, Based on Parent/Scout Availability and Interests)

This could be as easy as coordinating carpool to a third-party merit badge program (orienteering, engineering, swimming) or or organizing activity that meets and advancement requirement (meet with a community representative, safety discussion, Cyber Chip). Please click here for a list of past examples of activities or to get inspiration for an activity to create. Please email the Scoutmaster or advancement chair for “playbooks” on prior events or to help select an activity or get started.

Participate in Boards of Review (Ongoing)

Two to three parents are needed to sit for each review a scouts; no experience necessary. This is a great way to learn about what to expect as your scout progresses. We try to bundle 2-3 together; they generally take 15-30 minutes depending on the scout's rank. Date and location TBD but likely either on a Monday evening or via Zoom. Please click here for background on boards of review or email the Advancement Chair to be put on the regular list of reviewers.

Fundraisers

Help organize the winter wreath and candle fundraiser.  The winter sale launches in the fall and helps support local charities while subsidizing outings.

The troop has several years of experience to build on, so there is an established, successful playbook (though suggestions for improvement are always welcome!
